About

We are all living in this planet side by side no matter where we come from and who we are.  Our earth is like our body.  Our body comprises of different parts (eyes, hands, leg...) that are equally important to build and maintain a healthy body.  A healthy world requires us to embrace the differences among people and support each other to exercise our individual and collective talents.

This blog was first created as an assignment to share the learning in working with people with refugee backgrounds during my study in Australia.  But it has now become a space to share and reflect any learning in creating collective actions with an aim to bring about social justice.

  1. Hi Ada,
Yes I agree that we need a community in Australia that has a healthy mind, body and spirit. One of the aspects of Australian society that I love is its diversity. I see so much beauty in diversity. When we can feel interested and curious in difference rather than being scared some pretty amazing relationships can be formed. I have had so much fun at the Multicultural Days and Refugee Days held in Brisbane. The energy of embracing diversity is very powerful. Well done on your project. Kate

  2. Thank you Kate, I strongly believe 'Together' we can build a better world. It is not about competition but cooperation.

  3. Hi Ada,
Well done. It's very brave of you to conduct the interviews you've done and link it in with your assignment so directly. I am very keen to support your project whenever possible. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I think there is definitely some synergy between our projects.
    Regards,
    Nick

  4. Thanks Nick, I am blessed that people gave me opportunities to interview them. My tentative project plan is to build the leadership and network of youth by self-organising football and cheer-team competition. It would be great if we can share our thoughts in that area.
