To explore the youth issue and begin the research of youth leadership development, I started to meet one of two community workers. He is an Afghan. He told me the history and stories about the Afghan's communities and himself. He reflected that the young Afghans have high level of resiliency. They are independent as well as self-protected that hinder their connection with others. He and the project coordinator have different ideas about the youth issues. I am glad that community worker has accepted my request to join one of their regular football practice on late April. I borrowed a DVD from the project coordinator to have more understanding about the young people with refugee backgrounds. I am looking forward to meet the youths next week.
